Client in the Running Again for 2015

It is great news to hear that one of my clients UKRD who own various radio stations in the UK have had the notification that they have made the grade again this year to be at The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work for Awards in 2015. As a corporate photographer in London I have been previously asked on many occasions to attend and take all the official photographs for the company who stage this event, Best Companies.

More information is within the artical here:

UKRD “Best Company” and gains 2015 Sunday Times Top 100 listing

12:11pm 5th January 2015

Private owned radio operator, UKRD Group, has been told this week that it has once again been accredited with an “extraordinary” Three Star Rating for 2015 by the Best Companies organisation and has also been notified that it will definitely have a place on the 2015 Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For listings.
The confirmation came as Chief Executive Officer, William Rogers, wrote to each team across the company confirming that they had had their best ever start to a financial year, “breaking all previous revenue and profit records through the first quarter ending in December 2014.”
“The news of our recognition for the sixth year in a row as an “extraordinary” Three Star company to work for, as rated by the Best Companies organisation, is testament to the fantastic managers and teams we have working right across the company and, whilst we won’t know what position in the Sunday Times 100 Best Company lists we hold until the end of February, it’s great to be told in advance that we’ve gained a top 100 listing for the sixth year in a row,” said Rogers.
UKRD has been accredited the Number 1 spot by The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies lists in each of the last four years from 2011 through to 2014, with Rogers himself being given a “Special Award” as the “Best Leader” of a Sunday Times 100 Best Companies mid-sized company for each of the last three years.
“We’ve had a superb start to our trading year,” he said. “Two of our stations, Yorkshire Coast Radio and Wessex FM, appear in the top three local stations with the highest Reach figures in England, our revenues have delivered strong growth right across the portfolio and our profits are seeing very good growth indeed.”
Rogers said, “the local focus is truly paying off and we are seeing the clearest evidence yet that when you deliver truly local radio to an audience that is keen to be served by the kind of committed teams we have in all our stations, the results feed through. Genuinely local commercial radio is a success story and I’m immensely proud that UKRD remains true to the principles of local radio for local people delivered by locally based and focussed teams.”

Hilton T5 Conference

Alternative Images has recently been working at the Hilton Hotel T5 Heathrow for a corporate company who invited guests from overseas for the two day event. This hotel is well situated for the delegates to attend being within easy reach of the airport. Though the conference meeting was a fully packed schedule, as always the host company made some light hearted activities within the day using a set of jenga to bring some breaks to the business that was being discussed.

Who would make it fall first? After most of the delegates had their turn. It stood all day!

The evening was a fun affair with plenty of drinking and eating. The food on offer was a selection of different buffet areas where you could go and try from Indian to Italian dishes at leisure. There was a competition throughout the event and in the later part of the evening an awards ceremony took place that was a relaxed affair, good job it was due to the merriment by that stage!

UKHO Commercial Conference 2014, London

Alternative Images corporate photography was asked to cover the 2014 conference at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel, Kensington again this year for The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office. The conference was about the ever increasing database of digital information to be used alongside the traditional use of paper maps in navigating ships around the world and the many ports they have to visit.

The conference was attended by approximately ninety people who have a great interest in the information discussed by UKHO during the day. Alternative Images covered all the morning presenters’ shots and organised before the afternoon session a group photograph on stage of the attendees where they will each receive a print copy.

Together, the ADMIRALTY Vector Chart Service and ADMIRALTY Raster Chart Service give you easy access to the world’s widest suite of digital charts. Ideal for both planning and navigation, they can help simplify operational tasks and improve situational awareness.

AVCS provides the widest official digital chart coverage available, allowing ships to navigate to 4,000 of the busiest ports in the world. When this coverage is used alongside ARCS, bridge crews can quickly identify additional information – such as dredged depths and berth names – that can help to improve efficiency and safety on the bridge. This combination of wide coverage, familiarity and ease of use gives you the most trusted digital chart service for ships trading internationally.

Peter Austin of Alternative Images Photography has worked with this client over many years being an established business in conference photography and video production.
