iiaa Salon of the Year Awards 2014

iiaa, ”Institute for Anti-Ageing” held the Salon of the Year Awards 2014 at the Rosewood Hotel, London. The event host Anna Richardson was on stage to present the awards to the lucky winners. Alternative Images, corporate photographers were there to cover the event and the guests enjoyed refreshments with tea, cake and more cake. Have a piece of cake!

The iiaa produce and market a range of products that are aimed at the beauty market. These are not just used as make up but are products that have been tested to assist with skin care. The company head office is based in Wembley and has many salons in the UK and Ireland using and practising with the products.

Our host for the event was again on form today to add some light hearted humour in her address speach to the mainly woman audience before taking charge to announce the winners. Anna started her TV life in the heyday of the Big Breakfast – Channel 4’s most successful breakfast show. She was soon spotted for her wit and frank down-to-earth style, and beat some of the best-known names in British TV to present the cult series Love Bites for ITV, a no-holds barred sex and relationships show for teens. The series was so successful it won awards in the UK and America, and Anna herself was nominated for an RTS award.

SCA Timber at Wickes

Exciting times for the DIY and building material store Wickes who are opening a new outlet at the Elstree Trading Park on the 11th December. Busy preparation of all the units, displays and racking is underway to house the many products for this flagship store.

One supplier to Wickes is the timber company SCA. The company has its base at Stoke-on -Trent in the Midlands, UK and is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of wood-based products, with an annual production of 2.1 million cubic metres. The product range is supplemented with service and distribution solutions for customers in the wood industry and builders’ merchant sector.

Alternative Images, corporate photographer in London was asked to cover the task of delivery and the unloading of the material by SCA to the Wickes store for their PR department, who is producing an editorial piece for the company. A team from SCA have been on hand for a period of time to erect the specifically designed racking that houses the wood products. Once the lorry had delivered and the load was fork lifted to the correct areas within the store the team began the busy task of organising and placing the wood to the correct locations.

The task is expected to take a few days with the various wood deliveries. SCA is delivering long length planed timber such as skirting boards, door frames and with the large variety of sheet products such as block board, wood chip and ply should all be ready for the opening day on the 11th where Alternative again is going to be on hand to record the final result.
